The movie contains two concerts of the British rock band Queen. The first concert is their show at Montreal in November 1981, with “Under Pressure” topping the charts in the UK, Queen arrived in Montreal following dates in Japan and their record-breaking tour of Latin America. ASBO Teen to Beauty Queen was a reality television about nine teenagers from Manchester, who were trained by Michelle Fryatt, a former American beauty queen, to compete in the Miss Teen International 2006 beauty pageant in Chicago. Each week, the participants faced a series of tasks designed to prepare them to compete in the pageant and at the end of each episode, girls were eliminated from the series. In the last programme, the final three girls flew to Chicago and one was selected as the first Miss Teen England International to enter the pageant. The series was produced for Five by North One Television and has been syndicated on the Swedish Channel TV400 as "Från värsting till skönhetsdrottning". Queen of the Stardust Ballroom is an American television movie directed by Sam O'Steen and produced by Roger Gimbel. It was broadcast by CBS on February 13, 1975. Maureen Stapleton, Charles Durning, and Charlotte Rae were nominated for an Emmy Award for their performances. The teleplay by Jerome Kaas focuses on a lonely widow and a postal worker who discover late-in-life romance when they meet at the local dance hall. O'Steen won the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Specials, and the Writers Guild of America honored Kaas for his original teleplay. The program received two Emmys, for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography and Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography for a Special. The program, which has been released in both VHS and DVD formats, served as the basis for the 1978 Broadway musical Ballroom.
